Crisis emergency shelter terminated
For six months, Nuenen hosted 50 asylum seekers in the courtyard of City Hall. The Crisis Emergency Shelter has now ended. All residents have moved out; a large number have found a place in the shelter at Ekkersrijt in Son & Breugel.
This special initiative of the municipality was possible thanks to the support of the environment, a large number of volunteers, the LEV group and the organization of CS&CO. On Thursday, during a special farewell moment, Mayor Van Toorenburg warmly thanked the volunteers and all who made this possible.
This week the shelter will be dismantled. The courtyard will be restored to its original condition after the construction period.
