Inspection of rural area Nuenen February 12, 2026
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Dommelstroom Intervention Team (DIT) carried out an administrative inspection in Nuenen. This inspection focused on companies operating in the outskirts of the municipality. The companies were inspected for, among other things, the use of buildings scattered across the site, some of which are rented out for storage. Supervisors from the municipality of Nuenen, the Southeast Brabant Environmental Service (ODZOB), and Enexis were involved in the inspection.
Why check?
With these checks we increase the liveability and safety in the municipality of Nuenen. By carrying out these checks together with other participating partners, we maintain integrated supervision. In this way, a single visit can directly address any violations. Owners are also told immediately what they can do to eliminate the violation.
Results of the audit
- A total of 26 storage areas were inspected at the location visited.
- The storage areas were mainly used for storing goods and parking mopeds and/or cars (partly for hobby purposes).
- Near one storage room, there was a cabinet with several gas cylinders. The owner will be notified by the ODZOB to remove these gas cylinders.
The inspection proceeded smoothly. All owners and/or users present cooperated fully.
About the Dommelstroom Intervention Team (DIT).
The Dommelstroom Intervention Team is a collaboration between several partners, of which the municipality of Nuenen is also part. The DIT plays an important role in the integral approach to enforcement bottlenecks and undermining crime. Under the direction of the DIT, regular inspections of premises and locations take place. The team checks for fire safety, accounting, illegal occupancy, permits, registration in the Basic Registration of Persons, human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, social security fraud and other violations.
