On Monday, September 30, 2024, the Dommelstroom Intervention Team (DIT) conducted an unannounced administrative inspection at a company with storage and garage boxes in Nuenen municipality. The inspection focused on compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Supervisors from the municipality, a supervisor from the Environmental Department (ODZOB) and the police were involved in the inspection. 

Why check? 

The purpose of such inspections is to increase the liveability and safety in the municipality of Nuenen. By carrying out these checks together with other participating partners, there is integral supervision. In this way, if necessary, a single visit can directly address several violations.

No significant violations were observed at the inspected site. 

About the Dommelstroom Intervention Team (DIT).

The Dommelstroom Intervention Team is a collaboration between several partners of which the municipality of Nuenen is also part. The DIT plays an important role in the integral approach to enforcement bottlenecks and undermining crime. Under the direction of the DIT, regular inspections take place at premises and locations suspected of not complying with laws and regulations. Among other things, the team looks at fire safety, bookkeeping, illegal occupancy, permits, registration in the Basic Registration of Persons, human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, social security fraud and other violations.
