The municipality of Nuenen wants to construct an emergency route for the Esrand neighborhood in Nederwetten. This is a long-cherished wish of many residents and the Nederwetten Village Council. The municipality supports this wish.

The road will come to the Bloemhoeve and the connecting piece to Esrand. Now there is only a bicycle and footpath here. The image below shows an aerial view of the area.

Spatial procedure

In order to build the road, a spatial procedure must first be carried out to amend the environmental plan. This takes time because studies are needed, such as soil and archaeological investigations. Most of the studies have already been done. The spatial procedure begins this summer (2024) with a permit application. 

Housing

To construct the route, the municipality purchased land. The municipality has made arrangements with the owners of Bloemhoeve 22. This project will also allow two new homes to be built in the future. Neighbors will receive more information about the design of these homes later.

Want to know more? Come to the walk-in meeting

On Wednesday, July 3, the municipality will hold a walk-in meeting at MFA De Koppel, De Koppel 7, Nederwetten. You can drop in at a time of your choice between 6:30 and 8:00 pm. There is no presentation, but you can ask questions and give comments. Sketches of the road will be shown. Registration is not necessary.
