In recent weeks, a tree safety check (BVC) was carried out in the center of Nuenen and part of Nuenen-Zuid, with the aim of ensuring the safety of the area. This check was done by Pius Floris, a specialist in trees.

The inspection shows that more than 100 trees are unsafe. These trees must therefore be uprooted. The trees are scattered in the area checked. Often they are already dead or in very poor condition. Sometimes nothing seems wrong on the outside, but there are fungi on the trunk or roots, for example.

The trees being removed are marked with an orange dot. A contractor is removing these trees with large machines. This may cause temporary inconvenience in some areas, but this will not last long.
