Leaf Collectors

Starting this week (week 40), we will begin setting up the leaf bins. A total of approximately 130 temporary leaf bins will be placed throughout the municipality. So there will always be a leaf bin near you. Click here for the locations.

The leaf bins are intended for leaves only. Branches, pruning waste, and other yard waste should not be placed in them. We collect leaf waste separately.

We empty the leaf bins every week. We follow a set route when doing so. While emptying them, we also check to make sure there are only leaves in the bins.

Will you help out? Please put only leaves in the leaf bin. That way, we can keep using the bins all season long.

Sometimes we move or remove a leaf bin. We do this when:

• our vehicles can't get close enough to the basket;
• the basket is often used incorrectly;
• the basket is hardly ever used.

Please note: If a leaf bin is used incorrectly, we will first issue a warning. If it happens again, we may remove the leaf bin.

In mid-December, we'll remove all the leaf bins. After that, please do not leave any leaves in these areas.

Christmas Tree Collection

After the leaf bins have been removed, you can place your Christmas tree in the same spots. We will pick up the Christmas trees once, during the week of January 11, 2027.

So, on the weekend of January 9 and 10, 2027, please place your Christmas tree where a leaf bin used to be.
