'Messages about your Neighborhood' in your email starting in April
Are you 25 years of age or older? And have you entered an e-mail address in MijnOverheid? Then, starting in April, you will receive an e-mail from Overheid.nl with Messages about your Neighborhood no more than once a week.
The e-mail contains new announcements about things happening around your home address. Such as permits applied for and granted at the municipality, building plans and changes in local rules.
These are announcements from your municipality, province, water board, regional partnership and from the Rijksoverheid. These are also on the website: www.officielebekendmakingen.nl
Government wants better information
With this e-mail, the government wants to keep you better informed about things going on in your own neighborhood. It also makes it clear how you can have your say or object.
You will receive a welcome email
Every resident of the Netherlands aged 25 and older whose e-mail address is known to Mijn Overheid will first receive a welcome e-mail. This contains all the information you need. Through My Government you can set how often you want to receive the e-mail and how large an area the announcements cover. Don't want to receive emails? Simply unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link in the email.
Always check the sender of an email first
You are receiving the e-mail from Government.com. This e-mail contains links to website addresses so you can easily and quickly access the information. Unfortunately, criminals are also active on the Internet. Via links in fake e-mails they try to lure you to fake websites (phishing). Therefore, always check the sender (noreply@overheid.nl) before clicking on a link.
