Nuenen gets its own Repair Cafe

On Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the first Repair Café Nuenen will take place at Hobby Center de Dorpswerkplaats on Park 63B. Alderman Niels Wouters will officially open the Repair Café. If you have broken items that you would like to have repaired to give them a second life, come to the Repair Café. Tools will be available and expert volunteers will be on hand to repair your items. Watching or helping to repair is fun and educational!

Don't throw away but repair

The Repair Café Nuenen is an initiative of the Dwèrse Cirkelfabriek. The Dwèrse Cirkelfabriek is Nuenen's answer to a circular craft center. The Dwèrse Cirkelfabriek aims to reduce waste streams and draws attention to reusing products and raw materials instead of throwing them away. Throwing them away burdens the environment and new products cost money, energy and raw materials to produce. Those raw materials are not infinitely available. And repair is often perfectly possible. In collaboration with Hobby Center De Dorpswerkplaats, the Brabantse Milieufederatie and the municipality of Nuenen, the Dwèrse Cirkelfabriek therefore organizes a monthly Repair Café.

Repair Cafe every month

Every last Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can visit the Repair Café at Hobby Center the Village Workshop on Park 63B. If you have a broken product that you would like to have repaired, you are welcome.
