Silver medal of honor for singing choir De Vrolijke Samenzang

During the jubilee concert of De Vrolijke Samenzang on Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2023 at 2 p.m., this choir received a silver medal of honor from the municipality of Nuenen, on the occasion of the celebration of their 50th anniversary. Mayor Maarten Houben presented the municipal award, at the start of the anniversary concert in the Regenboogkerk, Sportlaan 5 in Nuenen.
Vrolijke Samenzang was founded 50 years ago on Oct. 21, 1973. It is a mixed choir for seniors aged 50 and over. The choir performs a surprising repertoire and is under the direction of conductor Natalia Tretiakova and pianist Ton Toikens. The choir rehearses weekly on Tuesday mornings in the council chamber of The Klooster. Singing and sociability are paramount.
