Five ribbons awarded during ribbon-cutting ceremony
This is an old post.
During the 2021 Ribbon Rain, Mayor Maarten Houben, with the help of aspiring youth mayors Elise Geerings and Mira Boonman, presented five ribbons, namely to:
- Meindert Mosterman: He has been a volunteer with scouting Rudyard Kipling and with the Nuenen Orange Committee for more than 20 years.
- Henny Matser-Regterschot: She has been committed to children with disabilities for 14 years as a volunteer and board advisor with the Rising Stars Foundation. She was also active in the school parent council, neighborhood association and youth club for many years.
- Ruud Prast: He has been a volunteer with soccer club RKSV Nuenen for more than 25 years, including 5 years as secretary of the main board. He also volunteered for quite some time at a ski club and with the Dutch Basketball Association.
- Toos Verbruggen-Nuijts: She has been the founder and president of the Connected to Namibia foundation for 17 years. She sets up projects so that underprivileged children receive education and have clean drinking water.
- Toon Rooijackers: He has been a board member of Stichting Voedselbank Nuenen for over 14 years. Before that, he was a board member and volunteer within the local equestrian sport for over 17 years.
All five have been appointed Member in the Order of Orange-Nassau. Congratulations on this well-deserved Royal Decoration!
