Voting from abroad (temporary residence)
Those staying abroad temporarily, such as for work or study, can cast a vote by mail themselves or otherwise authorize someone to cast his/her vote.
Have you previously cast a vote as a voter abroad?
Then you will automatically receive the necessary voting certificates for this by mail from July 28, 2025.
Residence abroad, option 1: vote by letterAre you staying abroad for a short or longer period of time? Then you can choose to vote by letter. You will need a foreign postal address to do this. If you have not done this before then you must first register (once) as a voter abroad. You can then apply through Sept. 17:

Residence abroad, option 2: written power of attorney
Are you staying abroad during the elections but registered in Nuenen? Then you can authorize someone to vote on your behalf by means of an authorization. You can request this from the municipality of Nuenen.
Residence abroad, option 3: cast your vote yourself
Do you live abroad but can cast your vote on election day in the Netherlands, Bonaire, St. Eustatia or Saba?
If so, you can apply for a voter card for this purpose via the website of the municipality of The Hague.
