Support political party with a statement of support

A declaration of support is a written statement indicating that you support the participation of a political party in the House of Representatives elections.

The Netherlands has 20 electoral districts. A political party can participate in the House of Representatives elections with at least 30 declarations of support per constituency. 

Requirements

  • You are a resident of the municipality of Nuenen.
  • You will bring a valid ID.
  • You may make a maximum of 1 statement.
  • You cannot withdraw your statement later. 

Period 

Declarations of support can be made from Monday, September 1 through Monday, September 15, 2025.
You do not need to make an appointment to do so.

Preparation

  • Download the Support Statement form(H4 form at the bottom of this page).
  • Complete sections 1 through 3 of the form. 

  • Note: Do not sign this at home yet. 

  • Leave part 4 unfilled. 

During your visit (submit statement of support)

  • Report with the form to the reception desk of the municipality of Nuenen. You do not need to make an appointment for this.
  • A staff member checks if you live in Nuenen and if you are eligible to vote in the House of Representatives elections.
  • Sign the completed form under the employee's supervision.  
  • The clerk will stamp the form.
  • You will take the form home again. 

     
  • You make sure the form gets to the political party.

You can visit from Sept. 15 to 18 for a statement of support without an appointment: 

  • Monday through Thursday between 08:30 - 17:00;
  • Friday between 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
