Start campaign 'Seeing you drink, makes you drink'. Children copy your drinking behavior!
Launch national campaign
This week, the national campaign "Seeing Drinking Makes You Drink" was launched. The campaign aims to make you and other adults around your children and adolescents aware of the influence you and they have on your children's beliefs about alcohol and future drinking behavior. Children copy your drinking behavior.
Influence role models
Research has shown that children and adolescents who see others drinking are more likely to drink (more) themselves. Children and adolescents see drinking alcohol all around them and this influences the development of their opinions and behavior when it comes to alcohol. Especially the behavior of important role models, such as parents and friends are influential.
