Participation, Event Policy, and Vision

Events make our municipality vibrant, visible, and attractive to residents, visitors, and businesses. As a municipality, we want to preserve this, but at the same time, it must comply with current laws and regulations. 

We are going to update our events policy and develop a vision to provide clarity for anyone who wants to organize an event. We would like to involve residents, organizations, and event organizers in this process; we call this “participation.” 

Meetings

In the coming weeks, we will be organizing a series of meetings to invite residents, organizations, and event planners to share their ideas and to gather feedback on their wishes and needs regarding events. 

We especially invite young people between the ages of 15 and 30 to join us! 

  • Meeting in Nederwetten: Monday, May 11 – MFA Nederwetten
  • Meeting in Nuenen: Tuesday, May 12 – Temporalis Monastery
  • Meeting in Gerwen: Thursday, May 21 – MFA Gerwen 

All meetings are held from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. 

To help us with our preparations, it would be helpful to know how many people will be attending. You can register for the meetings by email evenementenbeleid@nuenen.nl (please include your name and the date of the meeting). 

For organizers 

Organizers who have organized or will organize an event in 2025/2026 have been specifically invited to a separate meeting for organizers. Neighborhood associations and neighborhood activities are not included in this invitation. They may register for one of the three meetings.
