OPZuid - ERDF 2021-2027
The grant is intended to harness the power of innovation for economic and social impact in the southern Netherlands. Aimed at accelerating social transitions in the field of:
Energy
- A sustainable and smart local/regional energy system
- Renewable energy generation with storage, conversion and/or smart exchange with the grid
Climate
- Water
Raw materials
- Circular construction and infrastructure sector with a focus on materials / raw materials and construction methods
- Circular manufacturing and use cycle with a focus on materials / raw materials and smart industry
(Agriculture and food and health are excluded here).
Type of actions
- Support living labs / demonstration in real environment, where companies, knowledge institutions and civil society work together.
- (Continued) development of innovations among SMEs that provide solutions to challenges within one or more societal transitions.
- (Continued) development of innovative (inter)regional and (inter)national value chains to achieve the marketing of innovations within the transitions.
- Support SMEs in marketing innovations that can contribute to renewable energy production and smart energy systems, grids and storage.
- Local implementation and further development of innovative forms of renewable energy production and energy systems, networks and storage.
What is the benefit?
Grant rate: maximum 35% ERDF / State (+ possible provincial co-financing). Maximum grant per project = €1 million
For whom.
Beneficiaries include business, knowledge institutions, governments, civic cooperatives, intermediary organizations (ROMs), campuses and, among others, valorization organizations in the Southern Netherlands and beyond with demonstrable added value.
Deadline
Applications can be submitted from Feb. 19 to April 12 and again from Sept. 16 to Nov. 1, 2024
