(Partial) Dissolution of settlement agreement with Helpt Elkander

In 2017, a settlement agreement was reached between the municipality and Helpt Elkander in which various issues were settled. One of these subjects concerned the acquisition by Helpt Elkander of the Bosweg and Kremersbos caravan sites. By decision of November 14, 2023, the college agreed to dissolve the part of the settlement agreement that concerned this takeover. Following this decision, further agreements were made with Helpt Elkander at the official level regarding how the parties would deal with the (financial) consequences of this dissolution. The college agreed to record these agreements in an allonge that will be added to and become part of the 2017 settlement agreement.

The college decided to agree to amend the 2017 settlement agreement in the manner included in the allonge and enter into the allonge.
The college agreed to the council information letter and send it to the council. The college decided to include the college decision of November 14, 2023 in the public decision list of July 8:

Contribution Start building impulse to Helpt Elkander for housing project Wederikdreef

For the new construction project Wederikdreef, the municipality has received a contribution of € 512,500 from the State from the Start Building Impulse (SBI) scheme. This scheme is intended for projects that are far enough along in terms of planning to start building no later than 2024/2025, but due to changed economic circumstances can no longer make the business case. As a result, these projects risk being delayed or put on hold. The Wederikdreef project concerns a project of housing foundation Helpt Elkander.

The college has decided to pay this amount as a one-time contribution to Helpt Elkander so that it can benefit the realization of the
housing project in question.

Preparation decision 'Eeneind and Berkenbos; storage and use for multiple businesses'.

Lately, the municipality has been receiving regular requests and initiatives for the realization of business units, storage and/or garage boxes or for the realization of a multi-tenant business building on the business parks Eeneind and Berkenbos. But the municipality wants to maintain a good establishment climate on Eeneind for companies with a larger environmental use area and a larger use area. On the Berkenbos business park, the emphasis is on more small-scale and light business activities (smaller environmental use area) and business activities focused on business-to-consumer.

The college has therefore decided to adopt a preparatory decision "Eeneind and Berkenbos; storage and use for multiple companies," which will allow initiatives for use as storage or business gathering buildings to be rejected. The council will be informed by a council information letter.
