Cooperation Agreement Packaging 2025-2030
The Association of Netherlands Municipalities has reached an agreement with Stichting Verpact, which is responsible for the reuse of packaging materials on behalf of producers. The agreement concerns the amount of compensation paid to municipalities and the Requirements it is paid. Municipalities are requested to sign the standard Participant Agreement.
The board has agreed to enter into the Participation Agreement with Stichting Verpact. The head of the Realization department is authorized to sign the Participation Agreement digitally using the method specified by Verpact via Docusign.
Extension of administrative agreements on sheltered housing and social assistance 2026
As the central municipality, Eindhoven implements Protected Living (BW) and Social Assistance (MO) and receives the funds to do so. Administrative agreements have been made and mandates issued by the regional municipalities to the municipality of Eindhoven for the implementation of BW and MO. The purpose of these agreements is to ensure a uniform regional approach in terms of policy and implementation in the area of BW and MO. The current administrative agreements BW & MO and mandates expire on December 31, 2025, and must be renewed.
The council has decided to extend the existing administrative agreements on Protected Housing and Social Care and the accompanying addendum until January 1, 2027.
The council has agreed to grant a mandate, authorization, and power of attorney for BW and MO for the period from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2027, to the council of mayor and aldermen and the mayor of the municipality of Eindhoven, in accordance with the attached draft municipal gazette.
Extension of mandate for regional procurement of B1 integration course
The municipality of Eindhoven, also on behalf of the municipality of Nuenen, wishes to extend the contract with Werkvloertaal for a period of one year until December 31, 2026. In order to be able to enter into contractual agreements with Werkvloertaal on behalf of the municipality of Nuenen, the council must grant a mandate to the mayor and aldermen of the municipality of Eindhoven to sign the agreement. On July 1, 2025, the mandate for the regional procurement of the B1 learning pathway for the implementation of the 2021 Integration Act will expire. The DVO will end on January 1, 2026, in accordance with Article 16(3) of the DVO. Because the introduction of the Integration Act was postponed by six months to January 1, 2022, the start and end dates of the DVO have also been postponed by six months.
The council has decided to grant a mandate to the mayor and aldermen of the municipality of Eindhoven until December 31, 2025, to extend the agreement with Werkvloertaal until December 31, 2026, within the framework of the implementation of the 2021 Integration Act.
The council has agreed to grant power of attorney to the head of the Social Implementation Department of the municipality of Eindhoven to sign the agreement.
Council proposal for credit for projects in the South cluster
The preferred option for Liveability and Accessibility Cluster South, chosen at the end of October, has now been examined in terms of traffic and noise, and the costs have been recalculated. The necessary funds will be made available via a council proposal.
The council has decided to adopt the preferred option for the South cluster, consisting of the preferred options for opening up the Geldropsedijk bus lanes, noise barriers on the A270, and the redevelopment of Smits van Oyenlaan (south). There is still a design task to be completed for the Geldropsedijk with regard to the bicycle crossing, and further research and participation are needed for the redevelopment of Smits van Oyenlaan in order to arrive at the right variant.
The council proposal "Projects for a Liveable and Accessible South Cluster" will be submitted to the council for a decision.
