Structural subsidy 2026 - GGzE Foundation
The municipality of Nuenen and surrounding area is responsible for ensuring mental health care (GGZ) for its residents. We fulfill this responsibility by outsourcing mental health care services to GGzE. The municipal council has made funds available for this purpose. GGzE has applied for a subsidy for the year 2026.
The council has decided to award GGzE a subsidy of €102,905 for the year 2026 for the deployment of staff in the CMD and the organization of accessible daytime activities.
Interim agreement between Het Goed and WSD
The Recycling Cooperation Agreement ended on June 30, 2024. The conclusion of an interim agreement ensures that the continued work with WSD and Het Goed is legally and lawfully guaranteed until June 30, 2025. In addition, a new cooperation agreement will be entered into with retroactive effect from July 1, 2025, for the collection and processing of reusable household goods.
The council has agreed to formally confirm the interim agreement and has decided to enter into a new cooperation agreement with Het Goed for the recycling of usable household goods. The Alderman is authorized to sign the agreement.
The council has agreed to cover the costs of the new cooperation agreement for 2025 and 2026 and to process the textiles under Blink's service agreement from January 1, 2026.
Decision on objection to Woo request
An objection has been lodged against the Woo decision of May 14, 2025, rejecting the request of April 2, 2025. On September 1, 2025, an amendment decision was made on the Woo request. In view of the amendment decision, the appeals committee recommends that the objection be declared unfounded and that the decision of September 1, 2025, be upheld.
The council, adopting the opinion of the appeals committee, has decided to declare the appeal admissible and unfounded and to uphold the decision of September 1, 2025.
Decision on objection to suspension of construction work and order subject to a penalty
On September 4, 2025, a pro forma objection was filed, and on October 6, 2025, a supplementary objection was filed against the decision of July 24, 2025, imposing a suspension of construction work and an order subject to a penalty. The appeals committee considered the appeal on December 9, 2025, and issued its opinion on January 5, 2026. The committee recommends that the objection be declared admissible and unfounded and that the decision of July 24, 2025, be upheld, on the understanding that the grace period specified in the order has been changed to six weeks after notification of the decision on the objection.
In accordance with the advice of the appeals committee, the board has decided to declare the appeal admissible and unfounded, to uphold the contested decision of July 24, 2025, and to reject the request for reimbursement of legal costs.
Tender for management and mowing of recreational grass 2026
The municipality of Nuenen is in consultation with the WSD about the scope of tasks for green space maintenance. Mowing recreational grass is not included in the WSD's work package for 2026.
The council has decided to contract out the work to a regular landscaping contractor for 2026 and to adopt the procurement strategy "Management and Mowing Specifications for Recreational Grass 2026."
Council proposal action plan – vision for the future of sports in Gerwen and Nederwetten
With this council proposal, the municipal executive is asking the municipal council to approve an action plan for conducting an exploratory study into the possibility of relocating or merging the Gerwen and Nederwetten sports parks. This study is being conducted at the request of the council.
The council has approved the action plan - future prospects for sports clubs in Gerwen and Nederwetten.

Permit granting for non-plan-based environmental planning activity (BOPA) for the Kloostertuin housing project
The municipality of Nuenen owns the land in the Kloostertuin area and is initiating the development of this housing project itself. The municipality is therefore fulfilling the role of both landowner and initiator. On July 4, 2024, the municipal council adopted the Kloostertuin Master Plan, which forms the substantive basis for the Buitenplanse Omgevingsplanactiviteit (BOPA, or Extra-Plan Environmental Planning Activity). The municipality drew up the spatial part of the BOPA and submitted it on December 2, 2025. On October 9, 2025, the municipal council issued a positive recommendation on this spatial part. With this positive recommendation, the municipal executive can now actually proceed with granting the permit for the spatial BOPA.
The municipal executive has decided to grant the requested environmental permit for the unplanned environmental plan activity, pursuant to Article 5.1(1)(a) of the Omgevingswet Ow), and has decided that no Environmental Impact Assessment needs to be drawn up for this development, as significant adverse effects on the environment can be ruled out.
Start of market selection for Kloostertuin residential development
An important step has been taken towards the start of the market selection procedure for the development of up to 115 homes in the Kloostertuin. In consultation with housing association Wooninc., verbal agreement has been reached on a cooperation agreement, the selection guidelines, the valuation, and the program of requirements for the social housing units.
The council has decided to approve the content of the cooperation agreement, the selection guidelines, the valuation, and the program of requirements for the housing development at the Kloostertuin location, and thereby to agree that these documents will be signed jointly with the housing association.
The council has agreed to start the market selection procedure after the documents have been signed by both the municipality and the housing association.
