Regulation of legal status of mayor and aldermen

On January 1, 2019, the "Legal Status of Decentralized Political Office Bearers Decree" and the "Regulation on the Legal Status of Decentralized Political Office Bearers" entered into force. These include provisions regarding the legal status of mayor and aldermen. At the local level, a limited number of matters still require additional regulation.

The college has decided to adopt the Regulation on Legal Status of Mayor and Aldermen of the Municipality of Nuenen c.a. 2023. The regulation will take effect on April 1, 2023.

Decision Woo request

The applicant filed a Woo request regarding (provisionally) agreements/commitments made regarding compensation and/or indemnification in connection with the construction of the Helmond-Eindhoven express bicycle path.

The college decided to adopt the submitted view in the Woo decision and decided to partially disclose the requested information. The person concerned and other interested parties will be informed of the decision.

Feasibility study of new sports hall on Old Lands

On March 15, 2022, the City Council, through a motion, instructed the college to develop an outline plan for a sports hall with three hall sections based on NOC/NSF standards at the Oude Landen site. Following the motion, a feasibility study was conducted. It is proposed that the city council take note of the results of the feasibility study and commission a (location) study into the developments, capacity needs and distribution of indoor sports facilities for exercise education and indoor sports.

Renovation and expansion the Hongerman

On July 8, 2021, the City Council adopted a preferred variant for the renovation and expansion of the Hongerman and made a credit available for its realization. During the preparation of a preliminary design for this, it was found that the preferred variant cannot be implemented because concrete rot was found in the foundation/floor of the multipurpose area. Furthermore, since July 2021, construction costs have increased so much that the appropriation is no longer sufficient. On November 10, 2022, the City Council, by motion, instructed the college to place the July 8, 2021 decision on the agenda for discussion.
It is proposed that the City Council take note of the scenarios for renovation and expansion of the Hongerman, adopt the alternative design as the plan to be worked out, and provide an additional credit of €2,415,976.
