Signing Covenant Residence Principle Youth Act
The residence principle in the Youth Act regulates which municipality is financially responsible for youth aid. On January 1, 2022, the new residence principle in the Youth Act will come into effect. As a result, another municipality will pay the costs of youth care for a number of young people. The VNG asks municipalities to sign a covenant for those cases where it is not clear which municipality is responsible.
This will not endanger the assistance to the youth.
The college agrees to the covenant. The covenant is digitally signed on behalf of the municipality by Alderman Stultiëns.
