Expanding plan of action on energy poverty
In the college meeting of December 13, 2022, the college decided to adopt the occasional subsidy scheme "tackling Energy Poverty - white goods scheme 2022" and mandate its implementation to Groupcard and the Regional Energy Office. The grant ceiling of this scheme is €175,000, with 350 gift vouchers made available for replacing white goods with more energy-efficient models for people struggling with energy poverty. The grant scheme is effective from Feb. 1, 2023. Within a week, these vouchers were sold out and a waiting list developed. To provide the 175 people on the waiting list with gift certificates, we would like to expand the white goods scheme to help these people as well.
The college decided to approve the modification of the grant ceiling in the occasional grant "Tackling Energy Poverty - White Goods Scheme 2022" and increase it to €262,500. The modification of the grant ceiling will take effect retroactively from February 1, 2023.
