Renewal of residency waiver Alderman Van Stiphout
Alderman Van Stiphout does not live in the municipality of Nuenen c.a. and thus does not meet the requirement that aldermen live in the municipality of which they are Alderman . The city council can grant an exemption for this, which can be extended by one year each time. The current waiver runs until Oct. 29, 2024. The college proposes that the council extend the waiver for another year. For this purpose, the proposal "Renewal of waiver of residency requirement of Alderman Van Stiphout" is submitted to the council for decision.
Bringing WOZ administration in order Service Dommelvallei
An audit by the Valuation Chamber revealed that not all WOZ objects in Geldrop-Mierlo, Nuenen and Son & Breugel were (correctly) recorded. Therefore, the Dommelvallei Service is bringing the WOZ administration in order. This results in both additional costs and additional revenues. It turns out that in previous years, especially to companies, too low tax assessments were imposed. The colleges of the three municipalities are now being asked to correct this and impose the correct property tax assessments, with retroactive effect to two years back.
The college has agreed to impose OZB tax assessments that follow from putting the WOZ administration in order. The college has also agreed to share the additional costs of putting the WOZ administration in order in proportion to the additional revenues. The council will be informed -after decision-making in the General Board of the Dommelvallei- through a communication by the portfolio holder.
