Nesting Cloister

The Klooster in Nuenen is being renovated. It will become a social/cultural beating heart in the center of Nuenen. We expect the renovation to start this fall. We hope it will be completed in December 2023.

Temporary nesting boxes for protected animals

The Monastery is currently a residence for various (protected) animal species. In order not to disturb the flora and fauna in and around the monastery too much during the renovation, we are looking for places where we can let these animals stay (temporarily). In particular, this involves facades and gardens where we can place nesting boxes so that alternative nesting places are created (temporarily). For part of this we will use the gym on Monseigneur Cuytenlaan and possibly the church, but for the other part we appeal to neighbors of the Klooster. 

Sufficient facades found

We asked neighbors of the Klooster if they wanted to make their facade or garden available for temporary nesting boxes. We have had many responses to this, for which many thanks. At this moment we have found enough facades and gardens, so registration is no longer possible. Thank you for your cooperation!

First nest boxes installed

In the week of January 24, we placed the first nesting boxes on, among others, the church opposite The Monastery and the gym on Mgr. Cuytenlaan. Also in the Kloostertuin there are now some boxes on poles, especially for the house sparrow. In the near future we will place more nesting boxes.
