Tree of life for 100-year-old Dora Bijdevier-Boerboom

Mayor Maarten Houben paid a birthday visit to Mrs. Dora Bijdevier-Boerboom on Sunday afternoon, October 22, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. She reached the age of 100 that day and received a tree of life as a gift from the municipality of Nuenen, Gerwen and Nederwetten. The Magnolia Flora (beaver tree) was given a place in the courtyard garden of Savant van Lenthof residential care center, where she now lives.

Mrs. Bijdevier was born in Aals-Waalre, where she spent her childhood, along with 7 sisters and 4 brothers. She married in 1951 and then moved to Eindhoven. In the early 1980s, the couple moved to Nuenen and since 5 years, Mrs. has been living in Savant van Lenthof. Together with Mayor Maarten Houben she unveiled the nameplate at the tree of life.
