Cadastral information
What is it?
The Land Registry collects data on ownership of land, houses, factories, ships and aircraft. Also, the Land Registry has:
- topographic data
- surveying data
- data on property restrictions and
- data on underground cables and pipes
All this information can be obtained from the Land Registry.
What to do?
- You can request the information from the Land Registry.
- If you are in doubt about the area of a piece of land or the boundary between your yard and your neighbor's yard, you can ask the Land Registry to indicate the boundaries on your land. Request a cadastral Map through the Land Registry.
- You can also view spatial plans through Ruimtelijkeplannen.nl.
How does it work?
You can request the following cadastral information from the Land Registry:
- cadastral message
- mortgage message
- extract of cadastral Map with environment map
- purchase and sale prices of homes in your neighborhood
- housing report
Additional information
The municipality, the Land Registry and other private and government agencies provide land measurements. For the determination of the area of a plot, the surveying by the Land Registry is decisive. The municipality (or the Land Registry on behalf of the municipality) also measures so-called underground infrastructure, such as cables and pipes, and lists them on a Map.
Survey data are topographic data. These are, for example, data on height and area of land or buildings. But also data from measurements about trees, cables and pipes and property boundaries. The municipality uses this data when making zoning plans.
