Village and neighborhood councils
Municipality of Nuenen consists of the three church villages of Nuenen, Gerwen and Nederwetten. In addition, Nuenen has a number of hamlets: Opwetten, Boord, Eeneind, Stad van Gerwen and Olen.

Village and neighborhood councils
A village and neighborhood council is an advisory body to the municipal executive that represents the collective interests of residents in its area of jurisdiction and, to that end, has the following duties and powers:
- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice on policies affecting the general interest in the village.
- Communication duties as an intermediary to residents in the work area.
- Involvement in developments in the work area and in policy processes in the work area

There is a village council for Gerwen and Nederwetten and a neighborhood council for Eeneind. Their members were appointed on April 14 by the municipal executive.
